Softball Fun

I've been playing on my work softball team for a few years.  Although I didn't play the sport much in the life, I've learned to really enjoy being part of the team.  Today we were very thin on players....there were no subs and it was really hot.

We still managed to win one of two games and I had a pretty good day playing first base.  My hitting was off but it still felt good to post our first shutout of the season. 

Batting cage fun

Went to the batting cage with the kids. Had a blast watching them both have fun hitting the ball.  In the past, my daughter has not had much luck making contact with the ball... but today she hit everything.  Some of the balls she hit went pretty far.  She seemed really proud of herself and I was really proud of her.  My son Taj also hit really well and his swing was looking really good too.  Not a bad way to spend part of the day together.

Family Walk

Today my wife got home early from work and we all went on a family walk with the dogs.  It was a great day to get outside and the dogs were good the tired afterwards.  After a hard day at work, there is nothing better than being outside and getting some exercise.  And it is even better when the whole family can be together.

Topaz the Pup

Coming home to my dogs is one of my favorite things in life.  Both of them, Topaz and Guinness, greet me with their wagging tails every time, whether I've been gone for 8 hours or 20 minutes.  Today I had fun spending time with our first dog, Topaz.

After I cut the grass in the backyard, she joined me in the back and we played fetch with her favorite ball.  Even though she is only 4 years old, I know some day she will be too old to run around like a puppy so I've learned to appreciate every time she runs around in the yard with me. 

Dinner at mom's

I am so fortunate to live about a mile away from my parents. Every Tuesday night my mom cooks us dinner and every Tuesday it is amazing. This week her sister was in town and made her amazing tomato chutney. My mom added dal, chicken curry, spinach , potatoes along with rice and nan.
